Controversial former India pace bowler S Sreesanth Marriage photos. Controversial former India pace bowler S Sreesanth will tie the knot with a girl from the Jaipur royal family, a jewellery designer by profession, at the famed Guruvayoor Sree Krishna temple in Kerala on Thursday morning.
Pre-wedding ceremonies were held at a private hotel here Wednesday attended by the close relatives of Sreesanth and the bride Bhuveneshwari Kumari. She along with her family arrived from Rajasthan on 8 December.
The couple has been going steady for the past few years and she stood by him in times of crisis when he was jailed following a spot-fixing scandal which took place during the last edition of the Indian Premier League.
Nayan, cricketer S Sreesanth’s prospective bride, was infatuated with him when she was just 13. Perhaps it was not love at that time and was mere infatuation or adoration. However, Sreesanth also came to know of it. Madhu Balakrishnan, brother-in-law of the cricketer, revealed how the turn of events some years before are to culminate in Sreeshanth’s marriage in a day.
When Nayan grew up, she met Sreesanth for his autograph. Even though she told him that she ‘liked’ him, he did not take it seriously and considered her as just another girl who had come to get his autograph.
However, she became close to the family and some time later Sreesanth also started to take a liking for her. Nayan’s name is Bhuveneshwari Kumari and she is 23 and belongs to a royal family in Rajasthan. This is an arranged marriage, asserts Madhu.
Nayan’s family were very happy with Sreesanth and they stood by him and his family when they had to undergo some very difficult phases in life recently. Their liking for Sreesanth has not slackened in spite of all the problems that are haunting him, Madhu said.
The marriage between Sreesanth and Nayan is to be solemnised on Thursday at Guruvayoor temple between 7.30 and 8.30 am. The marriage will follow Kerala traditions. The same evening, functions associated with the marriage have been arranged at Hotel Le Merdian in Kochi as per Rajashthani traditions. There would also be other programmes and feasts associated with the marriage.
Madhu said that the family had hit a bad patch recently because of the problems that Sreesanth had to face in his career.
